Which regulatory bodies will my clinic have to apply with?

That depends on the services you provide, who owns the business and whether you plan to bill Medicare or Medicaid. In a first appointment we map the agencies that apply to your specific model, whether that is AHCA, the Florida Department of Health, DBPR or CMS, so nothing is filed with the wrong office.

How does an AHCA clinic license application in Miami work?

AHCA reviews an application package that describes the owners, the administrator, the location, the services and the staffing, along with background screening for the people listed. Overthink assembles that package, submits it and follows up with the agency until the license is issued.

What documents does AHCA ask for?

Typically your Sunbiz registration, FEIN, proof of the professional licenses involved, the lease or deed for the location, proof of liability coverage, the policies the clinic type requires and the background screening results of owners and administrators. We give you the exact list for your license category.

Do the owners need fingerprints for these applications?

Many AHCA and CMS applications require a Level 2 background screening of owners, administrators or managing employees, done through Live Scan. We tell you who on your team needs it and coordinate the Florida Live Scan appointment at one of our offices.

What happens if the agency sends a deficiency notice?

It is common and usually fixable. We read the notice with you, gather the missing documents or corrections, and submit the response on your behalf while keeping track of the deadline stated in the letter.

How much does an AHCA clinic license application in Miami cost?

It depends on how many agencies your clinic must apply with, the license category, whether background screenings are needed and how many owners and locations are involved. We lay out what your case involves and what each agency asks for in the first conversation.

Can you enroll my practice in Medicare and Medicaid too?

Yes. Medicare enrollment goes through CMS and Florida Medicaid through its own portal, each with its own forms and screening rules, and we prepare and track both. Once enrolled, we can also handle the contracting with health plans your patients carry.

Do you handle AHCA applications for clinics in Broward County?

Yes. AHCA is a state agency, so the process is the same for a clinic in Fort Lauderdale, Pembroke Pines or Hialeah; only the local permits differ. Our Sunrise office works with Broward clinics by appointment and remotely, in English or Spanish.
