Yes. We start with a cleanup of the past periods, reconcile them to your statements and then move you onto a regular monthly cycle so it does not happen again.
It depends on the number of accounts and transactions, whether sales tax or payroll are involved and how much cleanup the past periods need. A café in Hialeah with daily card batches and a consultant in Coral Gables with a handful of invoices are very different workloads. We size it with you in the first conversation, after seeing your accounts.
Yes, when your business collects it. We record the tax collected for the Florida Department of Revenue separately from revenue and keep the Miami-Dade or Broward surtax identifiable, so the return is prepared from the books rather than reconstructed. The filing itself is covered by our Florida sales tax service.
Most of it is remote: statements, receipts and access to your accounting file travel securely, and we meet by video or by appointment at our Palmetto Bay or Sunrise office when you prefer. Our bookkeepers explain your monthly summary in Spanish or English, whichever you use.
