How we work

Four steps, always with a consultant who speaks your language.

  1. 1

    Discovery call

We map your clinic: entity, locations, specialties, payers and where you are in the licensing path.

  2. 2

    Requirements checklist

You receive a checklist of state, county and city items with what to gather for each one.

  3. 3

    Preparation and filing

We prepare the applications and documents, you review and sign, and we submit them to each agency.

  4. 4

    Follow-up and handover

We track each file until there is a decision and leave you a calendar of renewals.

Serving Miami and all of South Florida

Two offices, one team, and clients from Homestead to Fort Lauderdale.

Healthcare employers in Miami-Dade and Broward hire from a workforce that is largely bilingual and often foreign-born, so work authorization documents, foreign credentials and Spanish-language handbooks come up in almost every onboarding. AHCA-licensed clinics also have to show background screening results and license verification for clinical staff, and a survey in Sunrise or Homestead can turn into a staffing finding when those records are incomplete. We build an HR file structure that answers both the state surveyor and a payroll question in the same folder.

Visits are by appointment. Most of the work can also be done remotely.

Frequently asked questions

Straight answers about this service. For anything else, call us or ask the assistant.

Is Overthink a staffing agency or a PEO?

Neither. We are consultants who design and organize your HR process; we do not recruit candidates or co-employ your staff. If a PEO or payroll provider makes sense for you, we help you choose and set it up.

What does healthcare HR consulting in Miami cover for a practice?

Job descriptions, a compliant hiring and onboarding process, employee files that satisfy a state surveyor, an employee handbook aligned with your written policies and guidance on the everyday questions an office manager faces: schedules, leave, discipline and terminations. We build it around a small bilingual team, not a hospital HR department.

What should be in an employee file for a healthcare worker?

Beyond the usual hiring forms, clinical staff files should include license verification, background screening results, immunization or training records required by your clinic type and signed policy acknowledgments. We give you the checklist by role.

Can you help decide whether someone is an employee or a contractor?

We review how the person actually works with you and explain the criteria the IRS and Florida apply, so you can classify with clear information. When the answer is not obvious, we tell you and suggest how to document the decision.

Do my medical assistants need a background check in Florida?

For AHCA-licensed clinics and many other healthcare settings, staff with patient contact must complete a Level 2 background screening before they start, and the result has to be on file for surveys. We tell you which roles it applies to and schedule the Level 2 background check at one of our offices.

Can you set up payroll for the practice as well?

Yes. Once the roster and classifications are clear, we can process payroll on a fixed routine, including the tax filings, and keep the HR files and the payroll records consistent with each other.

Do you write employee handbooks in Spanish?

Yes. Healthcare teams in Miami-Dade and Broward are largely bilingual, so we deliver the handbook and the onboarding forms in English and Spanish where you need both, with the same signed acknowledgments in either language.

How much does healthcare HR consulting in Miami cost for a small clinic?

It depends on the size of the team, whether you need a one-time setup or ongoing support, how many locations you run and whether documents are needed in two languages. We define the scope together in the first conversation so you know exactly what is included.
